Dragons again!

I have two more dragons to share.

The violet storybook wyvern lives solely on Eurybea. They have been parts of legend and stories of the ancient humans, hence the name, storybook wyvern. They are what humans would expect a dragon to be like. Large, fearsome, fire-breathers. The violet storybook wyvern is carnivorous and will hunt deer, sheep, cows, and even prairie drakes (a smaller, flightless dragon that shares the same habitat).

Violet storybook wyverns are very social. They live and hunt in family groups, much like Earth wolves. Unlike Earth wolves, the "alpha" pair isn't the only breeding pair.

The alpine ice dragon is a shy and elusive dragon living on the snowy mountaintops of Qoloris. Unlike other dragons, the alpine ice dragon has partially opposable thumbs like an Earth primate. These dragons use their adaptation to carry small objects.

Alpine ice dragons have the most efficient heat generation of any dragon, and their fire burns blue due to their intense heat.

So, as some of you may have seen, I'm making a planet. And I have a tumblr for that planet. And I actually advertised that already so I guess I'm just posting this because I've only ever posted one life update on this blog and I need some more XD

DRAGONS!

Anyway…
I created a few new dragon species for my planet Felionin so I thought I'd post some concept art here :3

This is the striped forest dragon. The only difference between the males and females is the stripes on their heads. Males have a split stripe while the females' stripe meets in a teardrop shape.
These dragons are omnivorous like the bears we have on Earth. They prey mostly on small rodents and the occasional bird. Berries and certain leaves supplement their diet. Striped forest dragons are small, and are about the same size as an Earth house cat.
Contrary to what their name implies, most dragons on Felionin are endothermic (warm blooded) and have a four-chambered heart for powered flight (meaning they can flap their wings to get off the ground and don't need to glide like a flying squirrel). The only exothermic dragon is the burrowing wyrm living in the deserts of Qoloris, Felionin's largest continent. burrowing wyrms are one of the oldest dragons along with the alpine ice dragon (pictures soon to come!).

Another forest dragon is the birding lindwyrm. These dragons are completely carnivorous and prey on the various bird species living in the forests of Felionin. Birding lindwyrms are unique in the dragon world because they are the only species of dragons on Felionin to be completely covered in feathers save for its beak and claws, much like a bird.
While flying, birding lindwyrms flap its two sets of wings opposite of each other. While gliding they are held parallel to the body.
The birding lindwyrm is one of the few dragon species with an active control over their magic. During mating season, males will manipulate the color of their plumage to attract females. Females are able to do the same, and it is not known why only the males will employ this skill to find a mate. Female birding lindwyrms seem to have a preference toward males with colors that complement their own. Birding lindwyrms are born a dull grey and once hatchlings learn to use magic, they experiment until they find a color they like. The hatchlings' plumage usually match the parents', but not always.
Birding lindwyrms are monogamous, meaning they find one mate and stick with them.

Felionin

So, I created a fictional planet that I plan on using for most of my fanfictions. It's going to be extremely detailed with many, many species. Here's a map that I drew of half of the planet.
